Stadium Description

Setting Description.
Stadium
The crowd roared like lions as the phoenix paraded into the field. A colourful army of people, waving flags to alert the players that they are supporting them.
As the goalie walked dramatically to his goal, the goal looked like it was waving to me, but I realised it was the wind.
The flood lights were beaming down on the field like lasers, aiming at their target, and the moon was helping out too. The stars were like other stadiums being lit up in other countries.

I could smell the chips falling behind my seat as they dropped their food. And I could taste the salt from the chips as the wind blew them across the concrete, and as they got forced into my mouth.

Story Starters
1. As if from nowhere a small creature appeared at the cabin door, holding a pumpkin, shouting lightly “trick or treat”. As I pulled out the candy from my pocket it moved it’s pumpkin closer to me so it would fill up. After that it ran away without leaving a trace.

2. “What’s that smell?!” they gasped, as the room began to fill with smoke. We looked up and then started to cough. We all started to run out of the house and I remembered to grab the phone and call 111.

3. “Where did everyone go?” I screamed but no one was there to answer, except for the alien, staring between the trees. I started to get up and run but I stopped when I heard the speeding footsteps, then I heard an ear piercing stab and then everything was gone.

4. I knew it was going to be an unusual day when my mum came into my room and said “Wake up”. I responded by saying “It’s four in the morning”.

5. I knew that my friend had done wrong, but if I told anyone he said he would beat me up. So I didn’t.

Mosquito Life Cycle
The mosquito goes through four stages in its short life time. Female mosquitoes live for 42-56 days ,and males live for only 10 days.

Eggs: Mosquitoes lay their eggs in either fresh or salt water, and sometimes on the water’s edge. Underwater, the eggs are attached to aquatics plants. Eggs incubate for 1-2 days before they turn into larva.

Larva: Larva have a good head and have mouth brushes to eat with. Larva have spiracles to breath with, or a siphon. So it must come back to surface quite often. They dive under the water only when disturbed or predators are nearby. Next they turn into pupa after growing in a certain environment and heat.

Pupa: The pupa is commonly found in a comma shape. The head and thorax are connected into a cephalothorax. Pupa can swim really fast by using their abdomen as a flipper. They also have to come up to breath often, they have respiratory trumpets. If disturbed it will swim down much like the larva and float back up when undisturbed.  After a few days the pupa rises to the water’s surface and turns into a mosquito.

Adult: Adult mosquito are now able to fly and feed on blood when us humans sleep. They breed after a few days to make more eggs. Sometimes males will feed on sugar or nectar. Once females are full on blood they will rest for a few days. Whilst resting they will produce eggs, and once ready they lay eggs for more mosquitos. The cycle repeats until the female dies. The length of an adult is around 3mm and 6mm.

Marbled Orb Weaver

Marbled Orb Weaver By Sam

Lethality: Marbled Orb Weavers are not poisonous spiders, their bite is like a wasp sting, but will not have an allergic reaction like if you get stung by a bee.

Scientific name: Araneus Marmoreus

Physical Information: Females are small, orange, and have a big round orange abdomen with gray and yellow spots, with a small orange head. Males have a long, and short abdomen, and their head is around half the size, and have black and white transparent legs like the female.

Prey: Most small bugs caught in webs, small frogs, and hummingbirds. (frogs\hummingbirds only if caught in webs).

Habitat: Can be found in rainforests, grasslands, shrubs, along river sides, and trees.

Predators: Wasps.

Facts: Their webs are found in trees, tall weeds, and shrubs. Adults make their retreats out of bent leaves that get held together by silk for camouflage. Their eggs are in small silky cocoons which contain several hundred eggs. Male marbled orb weavers are 5mm smaller in body length (excluding eggs). They are call marbled orb weavers because the female´s abdomen is like a marble.

Conclusion: I really like these spiders because they are a nice orange colour and I wish I could see one one day.

Night quest

Night Quest
Reference-Pobble365
Once upon a night time there were three men, Bob, Stuart, and Sam. Bob had spiky, sticky blue hair and wore a silver Patriots top. Stuart wore a white cap saying “Obey” in gold. And Sam had a Turtle mask and a cool blue and white army top and pants.
They were adventuring over Chameleon Lake, it was called that because some monsters in the lake could change their colours and appearance. Sam and his buddies were on a big blue bamboo raft with little lanterns to keep the raft lit up, and samurai swords incase they get attacked by monsters.

The three buddies where floating slowly along the lake when suddenly a little cute brown monkey wearing a monocle and a pink top hat fell out of a blue plastic rocket ship and landed on Sam’s raft. “Who are you” The monkey questioned, “Who are they” it questioned them again. “We are adventuring” Sam answered to the monkey, the monkey took off his hat and said “My name is Jeff”, then he swiped a fruit stick out of his hat and ate it with the plastic as well, then he started to choke and he fell off the raft and sank to a peaceful death. Sam said “Wow, instant karma”.

After 6 minutes of arguing over what the best fairy is in Tinkerbell, they encountered a little shiny golden whale with a laser gun on his back. The whale floated past slowly, saying “do not go into the cave” repeatedly. You know what Sam and his friends did? They went into the cave... Bob and stuart were scared, but Sam wasn’t.
In the cave they could see little donuts sitting at the bottom of the dark river floor.
Going further into the tunnel they saw a chair with a spinning bottom bit, the chair span around and there was a big donut with pink icing, sprinkles, and a shiny golden crown. “Hellow there” said the donut, “my name is King Chingaling” “yours?”. Our names are Sam, Bob, and Stuart, we are on an adventure. “Muahaha” King Chingaling laughed evilly, while looking at the water. He suddenly pulled a wind staff from behind his chair and shot the wind at us, but it hit everything but us. Finally after one hour he hit us with the wind. Stuart turned to dust, I fell in the water and got kept under then drowned, bob is allergic to wind so he also fell in the water and drowned.

But the splash hit King Chingaling and he got soggy and died...

Anxious, laying in my shelter, waiting for the teachers to pass by. Scared incase the teachers would take my chippies. I could hear Jack laughing in his high pitched laugh when Zaki ran past singing the batman theme song. Ms Williams speed walking past our shelter, shining light, like a laser pointer, going right at a tent at least 3 meters away. Listening to the voice, like a lion, looking straight at the target, “JACK!” The zipper runs down, like a waterfall, trickling down the tent like when some people squirted other tents with their water guns. The sound of mercy coming from Jack and Kai. Trapped, nervously watching Jack get told off. Ms Williams turns around. Popping back into my bed tucking the covers just before Ms Williams looks into my shelter. My heart is beating like cheetah's feet, stomping on the ground. Finally she walks away, my heart goes back to its original speed.

River Day

River Day

Anxious, standing on the jumping rock, getting ready to splash. The water, cold cold water, like armies of tiny slippery snails, crawling up my feet then getting blown off. I jump, mid air not knowing if the water will like ice. My toes freeze as they touch the water, then my knees, then my body. “It’s like a human freezer” my brain tells me with my eyes closed under the water. Back with my head above the water my brain tells me “Need to get to land”. Starting to doggy paddle I notice the current of the river is pulling me out to everyone else not at the waterhole. Scared I paddle faster, in the blink of an eye I am back on land.
